MkTwo Pro #008

The MkTwo Pro is based on the Tonebender MKII Professional originally released by Sola Sound in 1967. I’m a big fan of the MKII and wanted to build a more affordable boutique style fuzz based around vintage transistors that don’t cost an arm and a leg. I also wanted to use lower cost components but ultimately ended up using premium components throughout while still maintaining a lower price point.

Powering this MkTwo is a matched set of Soviet era MP20 and MP20A germanium transistors. The final result is a MKII that absolutely rips, idles very quietly, and holds up sonically to the more expensive vintage OC type transistors.

This pedal can be powered by internal battery or external center negative 9V DC power supply. The transistors are PNP and must be powered by ISOLATED POWER SUPPLY ONLY!
